Family weekend

Today I traveled across the state to visit my family in my home town. It is a 270 mile drive one way, over two mountain passes, in the snow.
The trip was exciting to say the least, there was a semi truck accident on one of the passes and then another semi swerved into my lane and almost hit me head on. But I made it the rest of the way with no problems at all!

The snow was beautiful so I pulled over to take some photos. It had already accumulated about two inches. My dogs wanted to get out and play in it, but we had to keep on moving.

When I come home for the weekend I always pack pretty light, three warm outfits, my toiletries and medications. My dogs come too of course so I pack their pillows and food.
I don't worry about not bringing enough stuff because after 500 times making this trip I have it down pretty well.

I get to go hiking and see my family for the last time while I live in Washington.
Two weeks and one day till I hit the road!

Hugs from Washington!
